Are you a manager onboarding your team?
If I need help setting up WalkSafe Pro and sending out invites, who do I talk to?
Your account manager is the person who will help you. In addition we have this comprehensive resource centre. You can always email support@walksafe.io.
What business information do you need me to add, where do I add this?
Within WalkSafe Pro you can amend the business detail here. The details held in your profile are the name and address of the business.
How do I announce Pro to the organisation?
It is critically important to send out internal communications ahead of the WalkSafe Pro invites so your teams know the business endorses this important safety benefit. In our experience several reminder letters/emails are needed as busy employees “forget to do it later”.
What are the benefits of Pro?
Your company recognises that we all get worried sometimes walking to and from work on our own. WalkSafe is designed to allow each employee to choose the option to have a personal response team with them all the way until they arrive safely. An expert who can get help, if and when they need it, and who is available 24/7.

Each journey employees can choose a friend or if they want the added bonus of a personal response team looking after them until they get home safely.
How do I onboard my team - are there example letters for me to send?
There are three options to onboard your team; Invite team member, Bulk invite team members and Invite team members with link. To begin the invitation process please visit the invite page within WalkSafe Pro here.
How do I see which team members have signed up?
Once your team members have signed up to WalkSafe via the invitations they will appear in the ‘Team’ page within Pro. You can access this page here.
What happens if one of my team sets off an SOS or they do not complete their journey?
When one of your team shares a journey with your Pro account and does not arrive at their destination or they activate their SOS, an alarm is activated within Pro and an alert banner will appear across the screen. All alerts will show in the dashboard so that they can be actioned by the operations team.
Getting Started
What is WalkSafe Pro, and why has my employer given it to me?
WalkSafe Pro is a personal safety app designed to help keep you safe while working, commuting, or attending events. Your employer has provided it to you to help you feel supported and protected; especially if you work late, travel alone, or move between locations. You have no obligation to sign up to this, it is an optional benefit to support your safety.
How do I download and set up the app?
You’ll receive an email invitation with a download link. Follow the link, install WalkSafe+ on the iOS or Google Play app store, and create your account.
What happens if I forget to end a session?
When the session times out, the journey will remain active. Incomplete journeys send an automatic alert to the 24/7 control room, who will then check in on you to confirm that you are safe. Once confirmed, the control room will close your session.
Can I use WalkSafe Pro when travelling home from social events?
Yes. WalkSafe Pro is designed for both work and personal safety. Many people use it for peace of mind commuting, after work events, or getting home safely after a night out.
Privacy & Control
Does WalkSafe Pro track me all the time?
No. Your location is only shared when you choose to share a journey with your trusted friends or trigger SOS. Outside of that, your movements are private.
Who can see my journeys?
Only the people you choose (trusted friends and family), and if you opt in, the 24/7 control centre during an active session.
How does WalkSafe keep my data safe?
WalkSafe Pro is fully GDPR-compliant. We only collect the minimum data needed to keep you safe. Your information is encrypted and never shared with third parties without your consent.
Troubleshooting & Support
What if I forget my login details?
Select Forgot Password in the app to receive a reset link.
Will WalkSafe Pro drain my phone battery?
The app is designed to use minimal power. Using location services does consume some battery, but most users find the impact small.
Do I need mobile data or Wi-Fi?
Yes. WalkSafe Pro requires internet access to share your location and send real-time alerts.
Who do I contact if I have issues?
You can contact WalkSafe support directly via the app should you be experiencing any technical issues at support@walksafe.io.
